*Colors may appear slightly different on your computer than they actually are*
A fragmented figure rises in a precarious vertical balance, as if every part depends on another to remain standing. In A Matter of Trust, Jaime Shelley transforms the human form into a symbolic structure shaped by vulnerability, tension, and mutual dependence.
Dark divisions interrupt the glossy white surface, while unexpected pink elements introduce humor and visual contradiction. The sculpture suggests that trust is never completely secure: it requires balance, risk, and the willingness to rely on something beyond ourselves.
An original, one-of-a-kind ceramic sculpture by Mexican Pop artist Jaime Shelley.
Technique: Hand-built and hand-painted low-fire glazed ceramic using the majolica technique
Local pickup is available at San Cayetano Studio in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
