PORTRAIT OF EMILIA
Emilia is my daughter. In this portrait, I wanted to go beyond physical resemblance and capture her warmth, strength, intelligence, and natural beauty—the true presence of the woman behind the image.
This work is part of my new portrait project, with commissioned portraits available upon request. Each portrait may be created in oil or acrylic, on canvas or kraft paper, according to the collector’s preference.
For this particular portrait, I chose kraft paper because I enjoy the directness of working on it and especially love the character created by its folds, wrinkles, and irregular surface. These imperfections become part of the painting and give the portrait a distinctive presence.
